Addison has been competing in auto racing since 2003. He won the E1 class at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill endurance race in 2015 and is the 2014 and 2013 SCCA Regional Champion in the Spec Mustang series. In two years, Addison notched over 25 SCCA race wins setting and resetting track records at every venue he’s driven.
As a driver coach, Addison has helped many drivers at road racing courses in vehicles including McLarens, Ferraris, Porsches, Mustangs, Corvettes and Miatas. He maintains an active coaching practice for students ranging from first-timer's to reviewing data with seasoned racers.
At age 16, Addison completed the Jim Russell road racing school at Sonoma Raceway. He also built a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback to drive to high school and compete in drifting contests. Still in his 16th year, Addison began racing in NASA's Camaro Mustang Challenge where he competed in several classes over 8 years including American Iron and Super Unlimited. Along the way Addison also set the fastest lap time of 1:28.4 driving a Radical SR3 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in the Radical Cup Series.
Addison attributes some of his success to the discipline, conditioning, reflexes and calm under pressure that he learned as an ice hockey goalie. In that role for 10 years, Addison’s teams won many championships including the AAA level.
When not at the racetrack, Addison has a successful career in sales at a Silicon Valley software company.
